Electronic power module

Custom Electronic Power Module | High-Reliability Motor Drive & Power Conversion Assembly

If your motor drive or power conversion system has a space problem—or a heat problem, or a reliability problem—the off-the-shelf power board probably isn’t going to cut it. That’s why we build custom Electronic power module solutions.
Unlike standard power boards, our Electronic power module is engineered for where they won’t fit: circular structures that integrate into motor housings, irregular outlines that match your mechanical layout, heavy copper construction that handles extreme current without melting. From collaborative design to high-volume production, we deliver power modules that fit your exact mechanical, electrical, and reliability requirements.

What Makes Our Electronic Power Module Different

Fits Where Standard Boards Can’t

Circular, arc-shaped, irregular—if your enclosure isn’t a perfect rectangle, we can match it. We design the PCB structure to integrate seamlessly into motor housings, generator assemblies, or any space-constrained environment.

Handles the Heat

Heavy copper (2oz to 10oz) isn’t optional for high-power applications—it’s survival. Combined with thermal via arrays and optimized component placement, our power electronics module spreads and dissipates heat from high-power semiconductors so you don’t get thermal runaway in an engine compartment.

Built for Vibration

Your module won’t live on a benchtop. It’ll live in a car, a factory, a piece of moving equipment. Reinforced component mounting, robust PCB design, IPC-compliant soldering—it all adds up to a module that stays together when things shake.

Protection Built In, Not Added On

Overcurrent, overvoltage, overheat, short-circuit—the protection circuits are integrated, not tacked on later. And the whole thing is designed to meet global safety standards from day one.

Wide Temperature Range

-40℃ to 125℃. That’s the range your module needs to survive if it’s going into automotive or industrial applications. We select and qualify components accordingly.

How We Build Them: Power-Specific Quality Control

A defect in a power module doesn’t mean a failed function—it means a failed product, sometimes catastrophically. So we don’t mess around.
Every module gets:
  • Incoming inspection of all power semiconductors and materials, with full traceability
  • IPC-A-610 compliant SMT assembly, with process optimization for high-power components
  • AOI and X-Ray to catch soldering defects you can’t see
  • ICT to verify every component and circuit
  • Full functional test—power conversion efficiency, control functions, protection circuits—all validated
  • High-voltage insulation testing for safety compliance
For automotive and high-reliability projects, we add:
  • Thermal cycling
  • Vibration testing
  • Long-term aging validation

Where It Gets Used

Automotive Electronics
Alternator control modules, on-board motor drives, EV auxiliary power, transmission control units. Automotive-grade components, AEC-qualified, built for under-hood survival.
Industrial Motor Control
Servo drives, frequency converters, automation equipment, AGV power modules. High-power density, built for 24/7 factory floor operation.

For lighter, more compact motor drive applications, our Drone PCBA solutions offer similar power density and reliability in a weight-optimized form factor.
Home Appliances
Inverter compressor drives, washing machine motor controls, high-power appliance modules. Optimized for cost-efficient mass production without cutting corners on reliability.
New Energy & Power Systems
Solar micro-inverters, energy storage power conversion, BMS power boards. Efficiency matters—we design for low losses.
Medical Equipment
Precision power supplies, medical device motor drives. Medical safety standards compliance built in, not bolted on.
What We Deliver: End-to-End, Not Just Boards

A custom Electronic power module project isn’t just about fab and assembly. It’s about getting the design right before you cut copper.
  • Design optimization up front: DFM, thermal simulation, electrical performance—we catch issues before they’re expensive
  • Flexible volumes: 10 pieces for prototyping, 10k+ for production, same quality standards
  • Global sourcing: Authorized supply chain for power semiconductors, with alternatives ready if parts go on allocation
  • Compliance support: RoHS, REACH, CE, FCC, automotive-grade—we help you get there
  • Turnkey option: From schematic to final box build, we can handle it all

Why Work with OPCBA?

There are plenty of places that can build a simple power board. Few specialize in the kind of custom Electronic power module that goes into space-constrained, thermally demanding, vibration-heavy applications.
We do. It’s not a side business—it’s what we’ve been doing for years. Our engineering team understands power electronics. Our manufacturing process is set up for high-reliability, high-power assemblies. And our quality control is designed around the one thing that matters most: your module works, every time, even where it shouldn’t.
Got a power module design that needs a second pair of eyes? Trying to figure out if your thermal management is enough? Wondering if that irregular shape is even manufacturable?
Talk to us. Contact OPCBA with your requirements, your schematics, or just your questions. We’ll get back to you with a free DFM review, a custom quote, or a straight answer from engineers who’ve built power modules for the toughest applications. No pressure, just real talk.
