We take product quality and after-service seriously—that’s how we’ve built long-term partnerships. If you’re about to ask us for a PCB quotation, you probably have a list of questions in mind. Below, we’ve gathered the most common ones and answered them as plainly as possible. Think of this as a shortcut to understanding how we work.
Getting Your Quote Started: Files and Timelines
What do I need to hand over for a PCB quotation?
For a bare PCB, send us your Gerber files. We accept RS274X, ODB++, DXF, PCB, PCBDOC, and most common formats. If your project already includes assembly (PCBA), add the BOM list, the Pick and Place file (txt format), and either a real sample picture or a 3D PDF to help us verify orientation and placement. For PCB layout work, we’ll need the schematic and an outline drawing. If you’re still at the concept stage, just describe what you want to achieve—we’ll figure out together whether it’s realistic and how to get there. The more precise your PCB quotation file package, the faster our engineering team can turn it around.
How quickly do you issue a PCBA quote?
A straightforward bare-board quote usually lands in your inbox within 0.5 to 2 hours. For PCBA, it depends on the component count. A simple BOM can be priced in about 6 hours; if things get complex, expect 12 to 36 hours. To help us beat that clock, include these details alongside your files: material, board thickness, copper weight, surface finish, solder mask color, and silkscreen color. I’ve noticed that a well-organized BOM with manufacturer part numbers makes a huge difference—it cuts out the back-and-forth that eats up half a day.
Production, MOQ, and What We Actually Build
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No. We handle everything from a single prototype to high-volume production. The MOQ is 1 piece. Naturally, quantity affects unit price: more boards, better pricing. The trade-off is that larger orders typically need longer lead times, so plan accordingly.
How long until I have the boards in hand?
Standard PCB samples leave our factory in 1 to 7 working days. Small batches run 7 to 10 days; volume production takes 12 to 25 days. Non-standard PCB or PCBA orders are assessed case by case—send your files to sales@opcba.com and we’ll give you a realistic date.
What industries do you serve?
We’re deep into industrial control, automotive, medical equipment, communication electronics, aviation, LED, and many other fields. The breadth of our shop floor means we rarely say “no” to an unusual requirement.
Keeping Your Designs Safe
How do you protect our intellectual property?
Your files stay with us and are never shared with any third party. We are happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement that’s enforceable under your local law. The confidentiality of every PCB quotation file and design document is built into our workflow—restricted access, separate servers, and audit trails. It’s not an afterthought; it’s the default.
Can we supply our own components?
Yes. We source from our supplier network, and we also accept customer-supplied parts. Just let us know what you’re sending so we can plan incoming inspection.
Shipping, Terms, and Getting Answers
What about shipping cost and terms?
Our default quotation uses FOB Shenzhen. If you need EXW, FCA, CIF, or DDU, tell us—we’ll adjust the terms accordingly. We ship with DHL, FedEx, UPS, TNT, and EMS, plus air and sea freight. The final shipping cost depends on the destination, package weight, and dimensions. Give us those details, and we’ll include the freight in the PCBA quote.
I’m ready. What now?
Send your Gerber files, BOM, and any special instructions to sales@opcba.com. We’ll get back to you quickly with a clear, detailed quotation. Looking forward to building something together.
