Quality Control

Quality claims are easy to print on a brochure. What a buyer actually needs to know is where checking happens, which standard applies, and what number the factory holds itself to when a lot fails. This page lays out our quality system end to end: the targets, the inspection gates, the acceptance standards, and what happens when a complaint comes in.

The quality team reviews these figures on every order. When a lot misses a gate, it stops and goes back to the step that produced the defect.

Before production starts

Every order begins with a document review by the engineering team: layer stack-up, drill files, impedance requirements, and special-process notes are checked against what the floor can build. Ambiguities get resolved here, with suggestions sent back to the customer. A question answered before laminate is cut costs minutes; the same question after lamination costs panels.

When a submitted stack-up sits outside standard process limits, we propose an alternative build instead of forcing it through. The proposal arrives with the tradeoffs spelled out material by material, so the decision stays with the designer.

Incoming material and tooling checks

Nothing enters the line without passing incoming inspection. Laminates, prepreg, copper foil, and solder mask are verified against the order specification, and lots that fail go back to the supplier. Tooling and fixtures get the same check; anything out of spec goes back to the tool room rather than onto a machine.

Inspection gates on the line

Each process stage ends with an inspection gate, and a panel moves on only after it passes. Patrol inspectors walk the line between gates as a second layer. Automated checks carry much of the load: AOI scans every inner and outer layer, and electrical test at the end of the line catches opens and shorts. Acceptance standards

Final acceptance follows published standards rather than internal opinion. General PCB workmanship is accepted to IPC-A-600, which grades conductor geometry, plating thickness, solder mask, and surface-finish requirements. RF and high-frequency boards are accepted to IPC-6018, which adds performance requirements for microwave applications. Military-grade builds can be quoted to GJB326A on request. Where a customer contract names a different class or revision, the contract governs.

Traceability through the order

Orders run through an ERP system from quotation to shipment, and each panel carries a record of the materials used, the process parameters applied, and the inspection result at every gate. When a defect surfaces months later, that record points to the batch and the step without guesswork. The quality management system behind this is certified to ISO 9001, and finished boards are screened for RoHS compliance before packing.

When something goes wrong

Complaints follow a fixed path: first response within two hours during working hours, and a corrective plan within one day. The affected lot is traced through production records to the process step that produced the defect, and the fix is verified before any replacement ships. Complaints and returns are tracked as metrics alongside yield and delivery.
